KCK home rammed by car, driver arrested

KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

Crews had to stop a gas leak after a car slammed into a KCK house overnight.

It happened about 11:50 p.m. Monday near West 42nd Avenue and Lloyd Street.

Police found the dazed driver wandering away from the scene and took him into custody.

It is believed he had been drinking.

They say he sheered off the gas meter outside the house.  Officers had to wait for the gas to be cut off to the home before moving the car.

Thankfully no one was in the house at the time.
