SEATTLE (KING/CNN) - Scientists in Seattle made a big discovery Tuesday.
Paleontologists said they found a tusk from a woolly mammoth at a construction site.
Before going extinct thousands of years ago, woolly mammoths could be found from Siberia to North America.
A construction crew first unearthed the tusk in South Lake Union and called experts from the Burke Museum for a closer look.
Scientists are confident the tusk came from a mammoth that lived during the ice age.
