Tuscaloosa police have charged a man with attempted murder for intentionally ramming a vehicle for several miles after starting a bar fight.
Authorities say Ashley Wade Holcomb, 31, went to a bar in Tuscaloosa and started a fight with the two victims, a 28-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man. The victims were celebrating a family member's birthday when Holcomb showed up and started the fight.
The victims left the bar and were headed home when Holcomb started to follow them in his car. Police say Holcomb intentionally intentionally rammed the victim's car from behind several times for several miles, causing damage to both vehicles. Holcomb only stopped after his car became disabled from the ramming, Sgt. Dale Phillips with the Tuscaloosa Metro Homicide said.
The victims were checked out at the scene but neither was injured. Investigators got to the scene in the 14000 block of Highway 140 in Coker around 4:25 a.m. Sunday.
Holocomb was arrested on two counts of attempted murder. He is being held in the county jail on a $120,000 bond.
