KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

A fire at a big-rig repair shop caused $100,000 in damage Friday afternoon.

Two semi-truck cabs and trailers were inside the shop at the time of the fire.

KCK firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire that was discovered just after noon, but investigators believe an equipment malfunction sparked the blaze.

A KCK Fire Department safety officer discovered the flames because the repair shop workers were on their lunch break. The shop is at 1032 S. 26th St. just north of Argentine Boulevard in an industrial area west of 18th Street Expressway.

No injuries were reported.
