Justin Bieber mug shots after arrest in Miami in January 2014
NEW YORK (KCTV) -
The pilots and flight attendant who were on the private plane flying pop sensation Justin Bieber and his entourage to the New York area for the Super Bowl have made serious allegations against him.
The pilots claimed that they had to don oxygen masks to avoid getting high and failed a subsequent drug test due to the copious amount of marijuana that Bieber, his father and 10-member entourage were smoking during the flight from Canada to New York.
The flight attendant said she endured extensive abuse from Bieber and would never fly with him again. The plane reportedly reeked of the smell of marijuana.
NBC News obtained a copy of police reports detailing the allegations and said Bieber likely would have been arrested if he had been on a commercial flight due to his behavior. After making a court appearance in Canada, Bieber flew to the New York so he could attend the Super Bowl.
Law enforcement officials searched the plane but made no arrests because all of the marijuana had been smoked by the time officers boarded the private plane, NBC News reported. Bieber was questioned extensively as he went through customs, but was eventually cleared.
"The captain of the flight stated that he warned the passengers, including Bieber, on several occasions to stop smoking marijuana," according to the report obtained by NBC. "The captain also stated he needed to request that the passengers stop their harassing behavior toward the flight attendant and after several warnings asked the flight attendant to stay with him near the cockpit to avoid any further abuse."
The report says the flight attendant spent most of the flight near the front of the plane because Bieber and his father, Jeremy Bieber, were "extremely abusive."
He is facing multiple investigations. He is under investigation in California after his neighbor says he egged a residence and caused substantial damage and he is accused of assaulting a limo driver in Toronto.
He spent hours in a Miami jail after he allegedly drag raced while he was high on prescription drugs and marijuana. He also allegedly had an expired driver's license and resisted arrest.
More than 200,000 Americans have signed a petition calling for Bieber to be deported. He reportedly was shunned at the door of an exclusive club in New York and turned away from at least four Super Bowl parties.
"While Bieber may be one of the biggest stars in the world, most clubs don't want the hassle of having him inside anymore," a source told the New York Daily News. "He is radioactive until he stops being so volatile. No one wants the bad press that follows him everywhere he goes."
