Springfield Falcons president, owner steps down

The president and part owner of the Springfield Falcons hockey team stepped down Tuesday night.

President Bruce Landon made the announcement during a press conference at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield. Landon will remain with the Falcons as their director of hockey operations.

Landon was with the Falcons for 37 years. While speaking at the press conference, Landon said he was "tired" and that it was "his time" to retire.

Landon, 64, was a retired professional hockey goalie.
