GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The emotional ballad Say Something has tugged on the heartstrings of listeners across the world, but a 4-year-old boy's response may be the most memorable.

In the YouTube video titled Jackson crying at A Great Big World's Say Something, 4-year-old Jackson's father said he was surprised to see his young son crying along to the song while riding in their car.

In the video's description, Mark Blitch stated, "My four-year old heard the song come on, so I changed it. But he wanted it back on for some reason. Here is the first moment that he has been 'moved.'"

The minute-long video shows Jackson crying, moved to tears by the song. While we may not know what Jackson comprehends of the song, when his dad asked if he wanted him to change it, he shakes his head no.

The video was only posted on Jan. 29, but since then, it has more than 230,000 views.

While Blitch acknowledges he doesn't have the rights to the song by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera, the band shared the video on their own Facebook page saying, "This is one of the most precious videos we've ever seen."

Blitch commented on the band's post thanking them for the appreciation and described his son as always having "a tender heart". In the comment, Blitch said the video was recorded in a rural area at a stop sign, so that is why the video was kept short.

The song first gained in popularity when it was used during a performance by Amy and Robert during season 10 of So You Think You Can Dance, which airs on FOX Carolina.

After it was used on the dance competition show, Aguilera reportedly reached out to the band and it was later re-released featuring her instead of the first guest vocalist Jenny Owen Young.
