Portland police made an arrest Thursday in a hit-and-run crash at a Plaid Pantry store in southeast Portland.

Monique Cortez-Munos turned herself in at police headquarters Thursday afternoon. She was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on three counts of failure to perform the duties of a driver (hit-and-run) and reckless driving.

Cortez-Munos, police said, slammed her car into the front of the Plaid Pantry at 6440 S.E. 82nd Ave. at 4:15 a.m. on Jan. 2.  She then backed up her car and drove away, hitting two cars parked in the 8100 block of Southeast Tolman Street as she drove away.

She dumped her crashed car at the scene, then fled on foot, police said.

Traffic investigators said they were able to identify Cortez-Munos as the driver in the hit-and-run crashes.

No one was injured.
