SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

A Springfield trash truck has been removed from a massive pothole and Calhoun Street has been cleared, with the exception of three orange barriers that block traffic from hitting the massive pavement infraction.

The truck plunged into the pothole Thursday afternoon around 12 p.m.

The truck was completely immobile after it fell into the broken pavement. A crane and two large interstate towing trucks were required to remove the truck from the pothole.

Watch a full video of the truck being removed by the crane on the CBS 3 Springfield news at 4 p.m.
