SHAWNEE, KS (KCTV) -

One man is recovering after a building in Shawnee caught fire.

It happened about 9:20 a.m. Thursday at Van-Rob, an auto-parts manufacturing facility, in the 10600 block of West 79th Street.

The fire marshall says a spark in a welding machine started a fire in the equipment. A couple of the maintenance workers tried to put the fire out and were overcome by smoke.

One man was treated for breathing problems on the scene. No one else was hurt.

The fire was under control about 10 a.m.
