SB lanes of Brent Spence reopen after beer truck crash

The southbound lanes of the Brent Spence Bridge reopened Monday afternoon nearly ten hours after an accident involving a beer truck.

It happened on I-71/75 south near mile marker 192 around 4:00 a.m. involving a beer truck and a passenger vehicle.

The crash closed all lanes of I-71/75 south at the bridge. The area reopened just before 2 p.m.

One person was taken to UC Medical Center. No word yet on the extent of their injuries.

Emergency crews remained on scene for several hours working to empty the truck before it could be removed from the highway.
