A bank robber in Springfield may have lost all of his cash in a parking lot Thursday.
Police said the Webster Bank on Boston Road was held up around 9:15 a.m. Investigators said the man was dressed in black and wearing a mask. Police said he pulled a gun and demanded cash.
The nearby Warner School was put into lock down as a precaution.
As police were trying to find the suspect CBS 3 Springfield creative services specialist Brittany Sullivan spotted cash in a parking lot. Officers were called over and more than a dozen other bills were found blowing across the parking lot.
Police won't say how much the thief got away with or how much they recovered.
Investigators were still searching for the suspect Thursday evening.
