OLATHE, KS (KCTV) -

Police are investigating an accident in which a driver smashed into a payday loan store Thursday morning.

The crash was reported about 10:15 a.m. at Ameribest Payday Loans and Check Cashing, located at 12705 S. Mur-Len Rd.

The driver, a 65-year-old woman, was not injured. However, a female employee inside the business sitting at her desk suffered an ankle injury.

That woman, who is described as being in her 50s, was briefly pinned by her desk and debris.  She was taken to an area hospital in good condition to be checked out.

A man also working inside the store at the time was not injured.

Police say the driver was trying to park her car in the parking lot. Police are still not sure what caused the accident.

They are still investigating if the woman might have confused the brake and gas pedal.
