A suspect hit a Kansas City police car during an early morning chase.

The chase started when Kansas City police tried to pull the driver over for a routine traffic stop about 1 a.m. Tuesday near Cleveland Avenue and East 74th Street.

Officers say the driver sped off, hitting a police car. The suspect was driving a stolen car.

The chase ended when he hit traffic light pole at East 63rd Street and Woodson Road in Raytown.

No one was seriously hurt. The driver is in custody.
