A man was taken into custody early Monday following a reported hostage situation inside a Warren County home.
Franklin Police received a report of a male suspect holding an adult female, male and 6-year-old child at gunpoint around 5:10 a.m. It happened in the 100 block of Minnick Street in the Franklin Woods subdivision.
Authorities said the male victim and child were able to escape through a bedroom window.
The Warren County Tactical Response Team was called to the scene and was able to communicate with the suspect, later identified as 44-year-old Jason Cole of Franklin.
Police said the female victim was released a short time later and was transported to Atrium Hospital for injuries from an assault.
Cole came out of the house around 7:50 a.m. and was taken into custody without incident.
