Four people were hurt late Wednesday in a two-car crash in Boone County.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on East Bend Road near Howe Road, about four miles south of Burlington.
The Boone County Sheriff's Office reports that Thomas Glutz, 19 of Elsmere, Kentucky was
driving a 1993 Honda Civic when he went left-of-center and collided with a 2012
Chevrolet Cruze operated by Patricia Jamison, 66 of Florence, Kentucky.
The Civic then proceeded off the roadway
striking a utility pole.
Glutz and a
passenger in his car, Kendra Hughes, 18 of Hebron, Kentucky were transported to
UC Medical Center. Another passenger in the Civic, John Grigsby,
17, of Burlington, Kentucky was flown to University.
The collision is under
investigation. Preliminary indicators
are that excessive speed was a contributing factor.
