Chief of the Maricopa Fire Department, Brady Leffler
PHOENIX (CBS5) -
The city of Maricopa has named Interim Fire Chief Brady Leffler as the new chief of the Maricopa Fire Department.
Wednesday, Interim City Manager Trisha Sorensen announced the permanent appointment of Leffler to chief of the City of Maricopa Fire Department. Leffler joined the city in September as interim fire chief.
"Brady Leffler has made an outstanding impact on the organization in a short amount of time," Sorensen commented. "In my opinion, he is just what the department needs at this time in its growth."
Leffler's professional career began in 1986 when he joined the Mesa Fire and Medical Department as a captain. From there, he moved to the positions of battalion chief, deputy chief and assistant fire chief. In those roles, he served in numerous areas including fire suppression, training, emergency services and community services.
