CASA GRANDE, AZ (CBS5) -

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office arrested Juan Manuel Barajas Cervantes, 34, of Casa Grande after deputies said he burglarized a house Tuesday morning.

The victim of a home burglary near the 34000 block of West Solano Avenue just outside of Casa Grande Tuesday morning reported the crime to PCSO, stating that a man had stolen a cell phone, shotgun, computer, televisions and a remote control airplane.

The PCSO Property Crime detectives opened an investigation that quickly led them to Cervantes.

The detectives found Cervantes standing in his front yard in Casa Grande. Detectives asked Cervantes about the burglary, but he denied knowing anything about the crime, deputies said.

When detectives took Cervantes into custody, he had two cell phones in his pocket, one of them the victim's cell phone, according to Sheriff Paul Babeu. Cervantes claimed he had no idea how the cell phone, which displayed the victim's name, had gotten into his pocket.

A Buick parked in the driveway of the residence had other stolen property in the backseat of the vehicle, deputies said.

Cervantes was been booked into the Pinal County Jail for burglary, trafficking stolen property, possession of stolen property, criminal trespassing and misconduct involving a weapon.
