Police need help identifying bank robbery suspect

WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Waterbury are investigating a robbery at the TD Bank on Highland Avenue.

Police were called to the bank around 2 p.m. Sunday after the suspect entered the bank and announced "this is a robbery." 

The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled.

The suspect is being described as a white male in his 20's about 6' tall with a slim build.

The suspect was last seen wearing blue jeans, a baseball cap and a dark colored hooded jacket.

Witnesses to the robbery tell police the suspect may have been wearing a fake beard.

According to police the suspect was last seen driving in a green Honda Accord possibly a late 90's or early 2000's model with damage to the rear bumper.
