PD search for convicted sex offender missing from Mesa

MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

A Mesa man missing for more than one month is still unaccounted for and authorities are asking the public to help them locate him.

Terry Mahurin, 51, last spoke with his family on Oct. 2 and has not been back to work at Sky Harbor Airport since Oct. 4.

Records show Mahurin is a convicted sex offender who had been living at the East Valley Men's Center at 2345 N. Country Club Dr. in Mesa.

Mahurin was convicted of felony attempted child molestation in Pinal County and spent time in prison from 2004 to 2011.

Mahurin was supposed to show up for dinner with his family on Oct. 5 but he failed to appear.

His personal items were left at the men's center and his vehicle was found abandoned.

Mahurin is described as 5'9" tall and weighs 190 pounds. He had blond hair and blue eyes.  

People with information about his whereabouts are asked to contact Detective Frederick with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office at 602-876-3773 or 602-876-1011.
