Do you have a mushy pumpkin leftover from Halloween? Bring it to the Chuck and let it fly!
The Stanbery Park Advisory Council is hosting the seventh annual Heads-Up Pumpkin Chuck at Stanbery Park. Admission to the grounds is free and there is something for everyone.
Catapults will be set up at the park for visitors to launch their old pumpkins. For just three bucks, visitors can pull the trigger on the catapult, sending a pumpkin soaring overhead. Pumpkins are also available for purchase at the park.
The event will include children's crafts and animal exhibits, food and drink vendors and, of course, two of the largest pumpkin tossing trebuchets in the tri-state.
All proceeds from the event are going toward the continues maintenance and improvement of Stanbery Park.
The pumpkin chuck will be held from noon through 5:00 p.m. A parade will precede the chuck at 11:30 a.m.
