Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday at 2 a.m. That means it's almost time to turn our clocks and fall back (aka you get that extra hour of sleep originally lost back in March)!
I do believe this calls for a celebration.
The first ever City Apple Festival is Saturday at Washington Park. Farmers will converge on Over-the-Rhine with their delicious, locally grown apples and produce. It'll surely create some family fun and runs 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Feeling extra "chic" this weekend? The Seasonably Chic Showcase sounds like something you might need. Local boutiques and vendors will be at The Phoenix downtown on Saturday. Attendees can get free gift wrapping, mini-massages and spa treatment. The best part? Bring a canned good for the Freestore Foodbank to get free entry and a swag bag!!!
Not entirely sure what's in the swag bag, but the name is enticing.
Didn't get to post this year's stellar Halloween costume on social media? Welp, you've got another chance to wow your Facebook friends during Mt. Adams' Pub Crawl Saturday night. Sponsored by Yuengling, participants will hit area favorites including Crowley's, Monk's, Yesterday's and more. A prize will be offered for the best costume at Next Chapter (which only enhances your costume street cred).
TheFree Family Fall Harvest Festivalis Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at Mason Self Storage on Bethany Road. We're talking rounds of pumpkin bowling, pin the tie on the skeleton, guess the number of candy corns, etc. Plus it's FREE!
Seriously, what is better than a nice, hot bowl of soup on a chilly Sunday afternoon? Nothing. That's why the Clay Alliance is collaborating with the Freestore Foodbank for their annual Empty Bowls on Sunday at the Bell Event Centre. It's a day of art, food and music - plus you get a handmade bowl! The cost of your ticket goes toward the fight against childhood hunger, so really, it's a win-win.
