(CNN) - If you think your children are spending too much time in front of a screen, cell phone, TV, computer, you name it, you're not alone.
The American Academy of Pediatrics is recommending parents manage their children's media use.
In a Pediatrics Journal article the doctors group advises parents to set mealtime and bedtime curfews for media devices and to keep the devices out of children's bedrooms.
The article cites a recent study that says children eight to 10 spend nearly eight hours a day with different media, for older kids and teens the average is more than 11 hours a day.
