Authorities say a great-grandson of the victim was one of two teens arrested in the death of a 71-year-old suburban Portland woman. Police arrested the two as they were trying to escape to Kansas City.

The two were caught in the dead woman's Lexus after a high-speed chase in northeast Oregon on Interstate 84. At one point, the Lexus was driving at speeds up to 135 mph and eventually lost control.

Washington County sheriff's Sgt. Bob Ray says Jacqueline Bell was found dead in her Cedar Mill home on Saturday after her walking group reported her missing.

An autopsy determined that Bell died of blunt force trauma.

Ray says one of those arrested was a 17-year-old relative who had been living with Bell. Also arrested Saturday was 19-year-old Micus Ward of Kansas City.

The woman's great-grandson was taken to a juvenile detention center. It is not clear if he will be charged as an adult.

Ward was taken to a Washington County jail in Oregon with charges pending.

While a motive is unknown, investigators believe the two teens killed the woman and took her car, planning to flee to Kansas City where both recently lived.
