Officials say this will be the final showing for the renowned exhibition, which has been touring since 2003. The items will then be returned to her sons in England to be preserved for future generations.
"We are thrilled to be bringing an exhibit that highlights the life and philanthropic accomplishments of a woman who inspired people around the world with her leadership and dedication to international causes," says Francie Hiltz, Cincinnati Museum Center Board Chair.
More than 25 dresses, suits and evening gowns worn by the People's Princess are on display, accompanied by photos and designer details from the event where the outfits were worn.
In addition, visitors can see the Royal Wedding gown she wore in 1981, two diamond tiaras and other family jewels, the original text of Earl Spencer's tribute to his sister at her funeral and original heritage family paintings.
Tickets go on sales November 1. Adults are $23, children $15, seniors $20 as well as discounted ticket prices for members.
