KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A quadruple shooting Friday night left one person dead and three others with serious injuries.

Authorities identified the victim as 35-year-old Ayanna Saunders.

Police said the shooting happened about 9:50 p.m. near 28th Street and Bales Avenue.

One of the two cars involved crashed blocks away near 27th Street and Indiana Avenue and inside that car was a man and a female shooting victim. She later died at the hospital.

Police said the third victim drove the fourth person to the hospital before returning to the scene.

Officers said their evidence at the scene suggests that people inside two vehicles exchanged gunfire.

The remaining three victims are considered to have serious injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
