KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Officials are looking into a reported hazardous materials situation at the KCI Airport post office, and the investigation has led to a second post office across the state line.

Joe McBride with Kansas City International Airport said an aircraft container was being unloaded and, during the process, it ruptured.

One employee was being checked out because of a headache to rule out any exposure issues.

The fire department and hazmat crews are checking on the incident.

The post office is located on Paris Street.

Traffic at the airport has not been affected.

The items in question in the container apparently were processed at a bulk mailing facility at 4900 Speaker Road in Kansas City, KS. Authorities were on the scene there, but cleared it by 7 p.m..

It wasn't immediately clear whether that post office has been evacuated.
