SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - A Springfield woman is facing drunken driving and other charges after police say she struck a man crossing a city street then left the scene.
Capt. Trent Duda says 24-year-old Krystal Vega hit the man just after midnight Friday.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment of what Duda described as minor injuries.
Police tell The Republican (http://bit.ly/1aQHChY ) the driver was found not far from the scene. A security guard at a nearby Wal-Mart called police to report a damaged gold car in the store lot with an apparently disoriented driver.
Police say they matched parts left at the accident scene with Vega's car.
Vega is scheduled to be arraigned Friday on charges including operating under the influence of alcohol. It was not clear if she had a lawyer.
