MISSION, KS (KCTV) -

Strong storms pummeled the Kansas City area Thursday night.

The severe thunderstorms brought heavy rain that led to reports of flash flooding on area roads. Winds brought down trees and power lines, leaving about 20,000 customers without power. This created an issue for some wanting to watch the Chiefs play the Philadelphia Eagles.

No injuries were reported.

The rain will move out overnight, leaving a beautiful Friday.
