A statewide Amber Alert has been canceled after search crews located a missing Spring Hill boy safe Tuesday evening.
Ben Tipton, 11, was found around 10 p.m. at the Papa John's restaurant in Spring Hill when he was recognized by someone inside.
Officials said Ben left home in the Pipkin Hill's subdivision on his bicycle around 2:30 p.m. The bike was found near the Spring Hill Kroger store at about 6:30 p.m., but the child was not with the bike.
More than 1,000 volunteers showed up to help with a ground search, and some even had to be turned away.
Tipton will now be checked out by medical personnel and reunited with his family.
