Charges are pending against four juveniles who were arrested and interviewed by the FBI in connection with damaging an FAA tower in Flagstaff.
The arrests cap an investigation into a string of incidents reported between May and September at the tower, police said.
The structure, called the VHF Omnidirectional Range Navigation System, is located near Ponderosa Trails and Pulliam Airport in Flagstaff. It's known in the area as the VOR Tower. Inbound flights rely on the device to help with navigation.
On Sunday, a Flagstaff police officer saw four juveniles trespassing on the property and damaging the structure.
After they were arrested and interviewed, they were handed over to their parents. Police said charges are pending.
