PHOENIX (CBS5) -

The driver of a pickup was killed late Saturday night after the truck rolled at least once while passing over some railroad tracks in Phoenix, police said.

The victim, whose gender or name wasn't released, was the only occupant.

After crossing the tracks, the motorist lost control and veered off the roadway in the 800 block of South 43rd Avenue, said Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump.

After the vehicle rolled at least once, it went through a tree, a wrought iron fence and a chain link fence before coming to rest in a commercial yard, Crump said.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
