Detectives believe three shootings are related, and are working to untangle what happened.
Police were dispatched at 11:06 p.m. Saturday to 624 Norton Ave. where they found a man outside the residence who had been shot. The man was rushed to an area hospital in "very serious condition," a Kansas City Police Department spokesman said.
A second crime scene was found at 617 Myrtle Ave. After a vehicle crashed at 12th Street and Oak Avenue in downtown Kansas City, police discovered a passenger in the vehicle had been shot.
That man was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
A third man turned up at a local hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. That man is expected to be OK, police said.
Authorities said they have limited suspect information, and no one is in custody.
