SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

A 20-year-old reported missing on Wednesday has been found safe in Scottsdale.

Scottsdale Police Department spokesman Officer David Pubins said one of their officers found Matthew Ziccardi walking through the parking lot at North Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and East Via Linda.

He appeared to be in good condition but was taken to a hospital for a checkup.

Ziccardi left the 12400 block of North 145th Way on foot sometime between 2 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers said.

Pubins said police are still determining where he was Wednesday and overnight because some of his statements were inconsistent.

State law treats anyone under 21 as a juvenile in regards to missing persons, Pubins added.
