PELHAM, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A visually impaired person helped guide first responders to a car accident on Tuesday, according to the Pelham Batesville Fire Department.
At about 1:45 p.m. a pickup truck went off the road into a wooded area off of Woodruff Road near Five Forks, officials said. Firefighters believed the driver experienced a seizure while driving with the visually impaired passenger.
The passenger called 911 and reported that they were involved in an accident, firefighters said.
The passenger, Michael Walker, told FOX Carolina no one saw the accident happen, so he honked the horn for firefighters to help find the wreck in the wooded area, guiding them to the truck.
A spokesman for the fire department said the people involved in the accident were transported to the hospital.
