Fans host fantasy football parties at Arrowhead

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Football fans are ready as the NFL kicks off its season this week.

That means more than games on the field, and it also means more games off the field in fantasy football leagues.

Fantasy team owners and league commissioners gathered in style at Arrowhead Stadium Monday night for their fantasy football drafts.

For $85, team owners had the chance to rent out a luxury suite for the night and overlook the playing field as they put together their roster.

Each ticket not only bought the owner's admittance into a suite but also included an in-suite buffet, an open bar, a league photo opportunity and one ticket per person to the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 27.

This is the first year of the special Fantasy Football Draft at Arrowhead, but judging by the response, it will not be the last.
