NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

For the second time in as many days, Metro police detectives have made a major drug bust in Nashville.

Police seized 100 pounds of what was described as very high-grade hydroponic marijuana worth an estimated $500,000 from a home on Dunn Avenue.

Jose Luis Velazquez-Marcelino, 37, Jose Miguel Castellano-Pantoja, 25, Rafael Farias, 19, and Manuel Jesus Zapien, 24, will be charged with conspiracy to deliver marijuana of more than 70 pounds and possession of marijuana for resale, police said.

A police spokesman said investigators believe the marijuana was grown in a western state and transported to Nashville on Friday, where it was going to be distributed.

The marijuana bust is unrelated to a case Thursday when Metro police and DEA Task Force agents seized 20 kilograms of cocaine valued at $700,000 that was concealed in a U-Haul trailer being pulled to a storage facility in north Nashville.

In that investigation, five suspects were jailed on various drug charges, and seven people were hurt when one of the suspects crashed his car into an MTA bus - which then collided into a passenger car - as he attempted to flee from police on Brick Church Pike.

None of the seven was seriously injured.
