A bobcat and her two little ones appear to be making their rounds in an East Mesa neighborhood, but when wildlife officials went looking for them on Friday, they were nowhere to be found.

"Our neighborhood, at Power and McDowell has been entertained, for the lack of a better term, by a mama bobcat and her two cubs," said Gina Vokoun, who contacted us Thursday through the CBS 5 News Action Button.

Vokoun said their wild visitor has been seen over the past week. On Thursday, when CBS 5 News spoke with Vokoun, the feline and her cubs were napping outside of an elderly couple's home just down the street.

Vokoun was looking for help in paying the $225 cost to put out traps and then $95 per cat to relocate the animals, with a promise to keep them together.

The neighborhood has safety concerns because the area is filled with families and pets.

Wildlife officials went to the neighborhood on Friday but did not see them.

"It is very disappointing when I don't see the animals. They say they've seen them every day. I'm very confident they'll be popping up here anytime," said Joe Dewulf, a specialist at Lone Wolf Wildfire and Pest.

Animal experts say the cats are very unpredictable. They say you shouldn't go near them or scare them, instead call the experts.
