LIBERTY, MO (KCTV) -

The Jackson County Medical Examiner's office has positively identified the body found in south Liberty on Friday as that of missing runner Chad Rogers.

The Liberty Police Department's investigation has revealed no signs of foul play, but the investigation will not conclude until the cause of death has been determined.

The final determination of the cause of death will not be made until the autopsy is complete.

Rogers, 30, went for a run about 8:30 p.m. last Monday and never returned.

His family organized massive searches for him and many volunteered after seeing the pleas through social media.

Friday, a construction worker found the body believed to be Rogers' in a portable restroom close to South Valley Junior High School, which is at 800 Midjay Dr.

Rogers' family posted on the Chad Rogers is Home Facebook page after police released their latest findings saying, "The statement released by the police is the same information that the family has. Nothing is being withheld from anyone. The Rogers family is incredibly grateful for everyone's help in trying to find their son and in your continued effort to support and encourage their family. Thank you."

A trust fund has been set up for donations, which can be made to the Chad Rogers Memorial Fund, care of U.S. Bank, 1909 W. Kansas St., Liberty, MO 64068.
