LIBERTY, MO (KCTV) -

A memorial service is planned for a Liberty runner whose body was apparently found Friday.

Chad Rogers, 30, went for a run about 8:30 p.m. last Monday and never returned.

His family organized massive searches for him and many volunteered after seeing the pleas through social media.

Tim Fritson, who has been closely involved in the search for Rogers, said Liberty police notified the family that they believe his body was found Friday.

A construction worker found the body in a portable restroom close to South Valley Junior High School, which is at 800 Midjay Dr. The school is near construction of a flyover on Interstate 35.

Police expect to confirm the identity of the body along with more details about the death early this week.

On Friday, there will be a "Chad is Home Celebration" at the family's church in Pleasant Valley.  Services will start at 7 p.m. at Shoal Creek Community Church, 6816 S. Church Rd.

Rogers leaves behind his wife and 1-year-old son. The three moved to Liberty after he lost his job as a youth pastor at a church in Jefferson City.

A trust fund has been set up for donations, which can be made to the Chad Rogers Memorial Fund, care of U.S. Bank, 1909 W. Kansas St., Liberty, MO 64068.
