Police ID motorcyclist killed in Independence crash

INDEPENDENCE, MO (KCTV) -

Independence police are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that occurred about 2:25 p.m. on Eureka Road east of R.D. Mize Road.

The motorcyclist has been identified as 36-year-old Dianna M. Williams, of Kansas City, KS.

Independence police said the crash occurred when Williams failed to negotiate a curve while westbound on Eureka Road, causing the motorcycle to leave the roadway to the right and hit a tree.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital where she later died.

There were no passengers on the motorcycle, and no other vehicles were involved.
