Toledo Police believe the same man robbed two Toledo carry outs at knife point early Thursday morning.
Police say around 2 a.m. Thursday morning a tall, thin, white male wearing a black ski mask entered the Speedway gas station at 1708 Tremainsville Road brandishing a large butcher's knife. The man demanded money from the clerk, who handed over a small amount of cash. Police say the man was unsatisfied with the amount, and tried to open the cash register. The cashier shoved the man away, and told him she was calling the police. The man then ran out of the store with the small amount of cash, police said.
Less than three hours later, police believe the same man pulled a knife on the clerk at the 7-eleven on Upton Avenue. This time the man got money from the cash register and a carton of Newport cigarettes before fleeing on foot.
Police say during the second robbery the man was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, gloves and a dark colored hat. The man again covered his face, according to police.
