Some local high school students visited the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden on Monday to prepare for an expedition to Yellowstone National Park.
President Thane Maynard and other zoo officials educated the students on some of the animals they're likely to see at Yellowstone so they know what to expect, including wolves, bears and all different kinds of birds.
"A lot of people who live their whole lives in the city might not have been out in a wilderness area like Yellowstone, but you don't need to be scared. You need to be cautious," explained Maynard.
The group leaves on Monday, July 29 as part of trip through 'Park Journeys', a non-profit youth development organization working to educate inner city students through America's national parks.
