Back-to-school supply drive benefits Salvation Army

KCTV5 is holding a back-to-school supply drive to benefit the Salvation Army.

The Take 5 to Care event will help thousands of needy Kansas City area children gear up for the school year.

Supplies needed include backpacks, three-ring binders, glue sticks, rulers, scissors, pens, pencils and colored pencils.

Supplies were taken at KCTV5's studios on Thursday and Friday. You can reach the Salvation Army at this link.

The Salvation Army's Community Centers will accept the supplies Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
