A 54-year-old man was arrested after he was accused of assaulting a nurse twice at Yale-New Haven Hospital Sunday afternoon.
Investigators said Michael Juliano of East Haven bit an 34-year-old nurse on the finger.
When the nurse came back, Juliano kicked him in the groin, police said. Juliano threatened to follow the nurse to the parking lot and stab him.
Police said Juliano was intoxicated and didn't remember the attacks.
"He appeared apologetic," police said in a statement Tuesday. "He apologized to the nurse, although he didn't seem to know what he was apologizing for."
He was charged with assault and second-degree threatening.
