Four people, including a Kansas City police officer, went to the hospital after a crash Friday night.
The wreck happened at 35th Street and Euclid Avenue just after 10 p.m.
Police said a Jeep ran a stop sign, and landed on top of the police cruiser. The officer and a recruit had their emergency lights on at the time of the crash.
"It came to rest on top of the rear end of police car. The police car initially struck the vehicle on the passenger side, they got tangled up, spun around and ended up in a weird fashion. Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt. It could have been way worse," said Sgt. Bill Mahoney with the Kansas City, MO, Police Department.
Everyone involved is expected to be OK. Crews pulled a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl out of the Jeep.
Police do not believe alcohol played a factor.
