Akron man pleads not guilty in fireworks explosion

A 65-year-old man pleads not guilty after a fireworks explosion at his Grand Avenue home in Akron.

Wayne Jones faces several charges; including, manufacturing explosives.

The accident happened Monday evening. The victim, Kevin Skubic lost an arm in the explosion.  He remains in critical condition.

Police say Skubic was carrying the fireworks in a bag to the truck when they exploded while it was in his arms.

Bond for Jones is set at $50,000.

He will be back in court on July 19.
