4 Ingredient Recipes for July 4th

PATRIOTIC FRUIT TARTE
2 cans of croissant dough (or you can use puff pastry)
2 small tubs Strawberry or Blueberry cream cheese
1 carton Strawberries
1 carton Blueberries
1 jar Prepared Lemon Curd (available at any grocery store with the jams and preserves)
Roll out the croissant dough but do not take apart. Instead, pinch the seams together so that you can create a solid bed of croissant dough as your "crust". Add the dough from the second can to the crust but reserve 1/4 of the dough to cut out your stars. The other 3/4 of the dough can be added to create the crust. Your end result should be a rectangular croissant crust. With a small or large cookie cutter, cut out the stars and set aside.
Bake the crust and the stars according to package directions.
Once ready, remove the crust from the oven and let cool. Once the crust is cool, spread all of the strawberry or blueberry cream cheese on the crust.
Cut strawberries in half and place on top of the cream cheese. Then add the blueberries.
Heat lemon curd in a sauce pan and add about 1/4 cup of water so it liquefies and becomes a thinner sauce. Once it turns into liquid, sprinkle all over the top of the strawberries and blueberries. For best results, brush all the fruit with the liquid lemon curd so they have a shiny appearance.
Once the torte cools, you can serve it. However, it is even more delicious 1-2 days after you make it! This is a perfect recipe for preparing "ahead"!
1 package Strawberry lemonade concentrate
1/2 cup Pineapples
1/2 cup blueberries
3 cups of watermelon juice
Make watermelon juice by filling a blender with watermelon pieces and lending until it turns into liquid. You may filter the juice through a cheese cloth to get rid of seeds or extra pulp or use straight from the blender.
Prepare lemonade concentrate according to package instructions, for a special treat, add sparkling water instead of regular water. Combine all ingredients and mix. For 4th of July, create "stars" from the pineapples by cutting them with star cookie cutters.
4th of July ROCKET PARFAITS
1 package of Vanilla Pudding
1 package of strawberries or combine different berries
1 small tub of light cool whip
1/2 pound cake
Prepare vanilla pudding according to package instructions. Fold in cool whip. Arrange champagne glasses, fill with layers of berries, pound cake, and pudding. Cut off the stem of the strawberry and place on top of the parfait and it should look like a "rocket".
Watermelon + Feta Stars
1/4 cup of feta cheese
1/2 cup of blueberries
Balsamic Vinegar (18 years or older)
Cut out stars from your watermelon with star cookie cutter and arrange on plate. Sprinkle with blueberries and then sprinkle with feta cheese. Fill a large spoon with balsamic vinegar and sprinkle on top of fruit and cheese.
Serve individually with appetizer toothpicks or as a salad.
