Kansas City shooting turns deadly with 1 dead, 2 others hurt

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Authorities are investigating a triple shooting that turned deadly Monday evening.

Police were called about 9:30 p.m. to the 1700 block of Kansas Avenue in regard to a shooting.

When officers arrived, a shooting victim, said to be a man in his 30s, was found dead in the parking lot.

A few minutes later, officers were called to a McDonald's near East 14th Street and Prospect Avenue in regard to another shooting.

At that location, two women were found who were shot.  They stated they were also shot while at the homicide scene a few blocks away.

The woman were transported to an area hospital in serious condition.  They are expected to survive.

There is no word on any suspect information.  Police have not released the names of any of the victims.

Detectives are interviewing the victims and several witnesses and ask anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
