Motorcyclist dies after crashing into pole in Kansas City

Posted: Updated:
KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A motorcycle accident claimed the life of a man early Sunday morning.

Police say the man crashed his bike about 3 a.m. into a pole near East Blue Ridge Boulevard and Holmes Road.

Investigators say there were no signs of skid marks.

It was a passerby who found the victim near his crashed bike.

"It is kind of unusual he was not wearing a helmet. That law is still in effect even if they are trying to repeal it," Sgt. Deetta Jacobs said.

So far, authorities haven't identified the victim.
